Ryan O’Hara Theisen, MA, LPCC, LADC
Ryan is an LGBTQIA+ affirming, dually licensed mental health counselor and alcohol and drug counselor. He earned his master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler Graduate School following a 23-year career as a creative director in advertising and commercial film production. Ryan’s own journey with anxiety and ADHD helped him develop effective tools, foster self-understanding, and find hope in the midst of discomfort—experiences that ultimately inspired his path into counseling. He brings warmth, humor, and a trauma-informed presence to his work, drawing from Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). He utilizes ART to help clients reprocess trauma, reduce emotional distress, and move toward lasting healing and satisfaction in life. Ryan works with individuals experiencing phobias, anxiety, depression, PTSD, addiction, relationship challenges, career transitions, and spiritual concerns. He offers compassionate, evidence-based support to help clients reconnect with their strengths and create meaningful change.
