Ryan O’Hara Theisen, MA, LADC
Ryan is a licensed drug and alcohol counselor and a graduate of Adler Graduate School’s Co-Occurring Disorders and Addictions Counseling Program. He sees positive mental health as a right for all and a critical element in realizing one’s authentic self and purpose. Ryan believes that in childhood and throughout life, we construct stories about ourselves and our environment to make sense of the world. These stories drive our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Because the world is ever-changing, our stories must also evolve. Ryan creates an open and safe space where clients can compassionately explore all realms of themselves and reorient their ways of being to align with their goals. He utilizes warmth, humor, and an integrative approach that combines mindfulness, person-centered, constructivist, and Adlerian theories.
