Emma Johnson, MPS, LADC
Emma holds her Master’s of Professional Studies in Integrated Behavioral Health from the University of Minnesota and is a licensed alcohol and drug counselor. Emma has experience working with addiction and severe and persistent mental illness in both a residential and outpatient setting. She works with individuals who are struggling and attempting to find meaning and direction in their lives. She believes that the suffering we go through in life has a purpose, and that everyone deserves a space to feel seen and heard. Emma utilizes a trauma-informed, person-centered approach in therapy combining Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Existential Therapy, and psychodynamic strategies that highlight clients’ strengths, values, and autonomy. She works with individuals from a holistic and systemic framework to help move them toward healing in all areas of their lives. Emma also works with couples and families and is currently accepting new clients. Outside of the office, Emma enjoys traveling with her husband, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with friends.
